@

This is an un-cut card sheet of 45 images from the classic original Tetsujin 28 (known in the US as Gigantor) series. These cards are 3D printed, meaning that you will need classic red and blue 3D glasses to see a clear image. The pictures are not blurred. It is necessary to use 3D glasses to see the images clearly. This is extremely rare, and in good condition. One corner is slightly frayed, and there in minor age related darkening of the colors. The text is entirely in Japanese. Pictured are Shotaro (Jimmy), Dr Shikishima (Bob Brilliant), Detective Otsuka (Ignatz Blooper) and the villains Snowman, Skull, Black Group as well as Tetsujin 28 (Gigantor).

Menko cards were issued in Japan for many years. They were issued for athletes, film stars, other famous people, and other subjects. They are thick die-cut cards that are designed to be punched out. Menko cards of real people are usually cartoon drawings of the person depicted. Thousands of Menko cards have been issued.

For those who didn't know at all about Menko, the word "menko" refers to a thick piece of cardboard with a picture printed on its face. They are used as toys by Japanese children in much the same way as American children might flip baseball cards. The Menko are indeed the forerunner to modern Japanese trading cards.

The "round" Menko are called "Maru" and the square shaped are called "Kaku".
